NSA releases 121,754 PIN codes for 2026/2027 National Service Year

The National Service Authority (NSA) has unveiled PIN codes for 121,754 applicants seeking places in the 2026/2027 National Service Year. This release initiates the registration process for eligible graduates mandated to participate in national service under the National Service Authority Act, 2024. Online registration commenced on Wednesday, August 12, and will conclude on Wednesday, August 26.

The NSA urges all eligible individuals to finalize their registration within the set timeframe to prevent any delays in deployment. The Authority asserts that tertiary institutions submitted 144,023 applications for consideration. Of these, 122,712 were accepted, resulting in the creation of records for 121,754 unique individuals.

However, 958 approved submissions are awaiting further verification, while 21,311 submissions have been rejected pending additional identity checks. The 121,754 PIN codes issued correspond to applicants whose submissions have passed the necessary validation and verification procedures. The remaining 22,269 submissions remain in limbo until further checks are completed.

Prospective service members holding PIN codes must log onto the NSA's registration portal, activate their codes, and finalize the online enrollment process. A registration fee is mandatory to activate the PIN code before applicants can access the enrollment platform, which is to be paid via Mobile Money across all networks. The NSA has bolstered security measures to ensure the registration process's integrity and deter fraudulent enrollments.

These measures include facial biometric verification against Ghana Card records held by the National Identification Authority (NIA) and the requirement of a valid GhanaPost GPS address. Real-time verification mechanisms have also been integrated into the registration platform for enhanced data accuracy. The NSA reminds tertiary institutions with unresolved accreditation status to engage the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) to formalize their status.

The Authority pledges to continue processing eligible graduates from such institutions once GTEC confirms their accreditation. Prospective service members seeking assistance are directed to the support channels available on the NSA registration portal.
