Myles Lewis-Skelly Offered To Man United As Left-Back Solution

Manchester United has shown interest in 19-year-old left-back Myles Lewis-Skelly, with Arsenal seeking to recover some of the £75 million they paid Newcastle for Bruno Guimarães. Chelsea has also been informed of Lewis-Skelly's availability. The young player, who won the Premier League under Mikel Arteta last season, made only five league starts and 36 appearances in all competitions during the 2025-26 campaign.

Lewis-Skelly signed a five-year contract with the club last summer, and sources suggest his asking price could be around £45 million. This figure falls within the budget United have allocated for transfers this summer, following the signings of Youri Tielemans for £35 million and Andrey Santos for £48 million plus £2 million in add-ons from Chelsea.

Newcastle's top priority is retaining Lewis Hall, who remains a sought-after left-back option for United. After selling Guimarães, losing Sandro Tonali to Tottenham and Anthony Gordon to Barcelona, manager Matthias Jaissle is determined to keep Lewis Hall. Another potential left-back for United is RB Leipzig's 28-year-old David Raum.

Chelsea has already made significant investments this summer, spending over £300 million on new players. They have brought in Maxence Lacroix and Marco Palestra to strengthen the center and right of the defense, respectively, while Morgan Rogers became the club's record signing at a cost of £117 million.
