Malaysian dies of heart attack during Bangkok transit

A Malaysian man in his 50s passed away from a heart attack while traveling through Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport en route to Hokkaido, Japan, on Monday. The Malaysian Ambassador to Thailand, Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah, confirmed that the victim, who hails from Kedah, was pronounced dead at a Bangkok hospital at 12:26 am on August 10.

According to Wan Zaidi, the man was en route from Kuala Lumpur to Hokkaido when he suffered the heart attack during his transit. The victim was immediately transported to a Bangkok hospital and subsequently issued a death certificate. The victim's family, who were also on the same flight, claimed his remains. All necessary paperwork was completed by embassy personnel, and the remains were later transported back to Malaysia via the Bukit Kayu Hitam land crossing. The remains arrived in Malaysia around 10 am on August 11.
