Kuwait foils terrorist plot targeting vital facility

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior thwarted a terrorist plot on Wednesday aimed at a crucial facility in the country and apprehended a Kuwaiti individual linked to Daesh just before he could act on his plan, following rigorous security monitoring and surveillance. This development was announced in a statement published by the Kuwait News Agency.

According to the statement, investigations disclosed that the suspect had undergone training on the production of explosives and drones, and had constructed a drone with the aim of employing it in his terrorist scheme to target a vital facility.

The necessary legal steps were taken against the suspect, who was handed over to authorities to facilitate further investigations and subsequent measures in line with the law. The Ministry of Interior emphasized that its security agencies would persist in their proactive endeavors to keep a vigilant eye on and thwart any actions or schemes that might jeopardize the nation's security and stability, making it clear that they would not show leniency towards anyone attempting to undermine national security or the safety of citizens and residents.
