JAMB warns UTME, direct entry candidates against profile errors

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a warning to both Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry candidates. They strongly advise candidates to ensure that all personal details entered into their registration profiles are accurate and free from errors. In a recent advisory, JAMB explained that even minor mistakes, such as incorrect names or dates of birth, could lead to significant complications during the admission process.

The board emphasized that the information submitted is obtained directly from the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), and it does not have the authority to alter or correct these details. Candidates are reminded that any errors found after registration cannot be rectified by JAMB and that affidavits will not automatically resolve such discrepancies.

JAMB explicitly stated that accurate identity information is crucial for each candidate's profile and admission records. Consequently, they have urged all prospective applicants to meticulously verify their details with NIMC and confirm their correctness before proceeding with their registration.
