Israel seeking to ‘remove Palestine from world’s agenda’, says Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of attempting to remove Palestine from the world's agenda, according to a joint press conference in Ankara with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas. Erdogan stated that Netanyahu's government seeks to achieve this by exploiting regional chaos and conflicts, but he remains confident that the Palestinian cause will continue to gain support.

The Turkish leader pledged Turkey's support for the establishment of a Palestinian state. Turkish President Erdogan and Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas met in Ankara to discuss regional developments, describing the talks as "important and fruitful." Palestinian legislative elections are scheduled for November 28, followed by presidential polls early the following year, marking the first elections in two decades.

Erdogan expressed hope that these elections would contribute to reconciliation and stability in the region, as well as advance the reconciliation process between Fatah and Hamas.
