Haiwaan teaser: Akshay Kumar turns sinister as blind Saif Ali Khan faces a deadly threat

KVN Productions and Thespian Films unveiled the teaser for their upcoming action thriller Haiwaan on Wednesday, directed by Priyadarshan. The 45-second teaser combines silhouettes with a melancholic melody, providing just a glimpse into the film's world. Saif Ali Khan, making his directorial debut with Priyadarshan, plays a visually impaired martial artist who protects a young girl from a sinister antagonist.

Akshay Kumar reteams with Saif after their 2008 hit Tashan, joining forces for the first time as adversaries. The teaser showcases Saif as a blind character, utilizing a white walking stick and tactile watch to navigate his surroundings. It also depicts a murder scene, with the victim signaling for help and currency notes plummeting from a skyscraper, hinting at the motive behind the crime.

As the title flashes in a blood-red hue, Akshay's villainous laughter sets the stage for his character and the film's overall tone. The 99th film for Priyadarshan as a director, Haiwaan is an official remake of the 2016 Malayalam neo-noir Oppam, starring Mohanlal.
