Fahmi praises Bersatu MPs for taking part in Tabung Haji RCI report sitting

Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil commended Bersatu MPs for their presence during the Tabung Haji Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report sitting in the Dewan Rakyat. He expressed their right to stay, contrasting it with the opposition parties PAS and Wawasan, who decided to walk out. Fahmi emphasized that the Bersatu MPs upheld their responsibilities by participating in the special parliamentary session on the TH RCI report.

Following a sponsorship ceremony for National Day-Malaysia Day 2026 at his ministry, Fahmi highlighted that the RCI was initiated in 2021 under PAS leadership, and was finalized in 2022 while they were still in office, with the religious affairs minister at that time being a PAS member. When asked about the possibility of a new RCI into TH, Fahmi indicated that the Cabinet would decide on the matter, which would also need the consent of the King.
