Exploration Park

On December 23, 2011, Space Florida, Florida's aerospace economic development agency, announced a collaboration with NASA to create Exploration Park at Kennedy Space Center's Research Complex. This 299-acre area, located outside KSC's gates and open 24/7, is the sole location worldwide equipped with a Quadramodal Transportation Hub, accessible by land, air, sea, and space.

It is set to become a hub for diverse private sector technology enterprises, facilitating the growth and deployment of commercial space capabilities and addressing national priorities in science and technology.

The Space Life Sciences Lab currently resides within Exploration Park at Kennedy Space Center's Research Complex, making it home to the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS). CASIS manages the utilization of the International Space Station's National Laboratory. As Exploration Park continues to expand, more companies are discovering opportunities to conduct business at this burgeoning spaceport.

Florida offers a favorable tax and wage climate, characterized by the absence of a state personal income tax, property tax, business inventory tax, and corporate income tax for Limited Partnerships and S-Corporations. The region boasts an engineering-ready workforce, with 48 engineers per 1,000 workers and ranking among the top 30 most engineer-populated metropolitan areas in the country.
