(Picture: Bernama) PETALING JAYA: The Immigration and Protection Agency (AKPS) has received an allegation that a company received a False Consent Letter (SST) using its president's signature, implicating the acquisition of government assets.

AKPS stated that the document allegedly offered equipment such as tactical rescue jackets, generators, and writing tools, utilizing a forged letterhead and its employees' identities to convince the company. Consequences of this include the submission of a police report linking the misuse of the AKPS president's name and its employees, which have now been forwarded to the authorities for investigation and further action, according to their statement.

It is emphasized that all AKPS acquisitions are conducted in accordance with the procedures, processes, and regulations. A warning is issued to companies receiving any offers or SSTs from AKPS to verify them before committing any financial commitments. The public is also advised to be cautious to avoid falling victim to such scams, while underscoring that the agency takes any form of concealment, document falsification, and misuse of its officials' names, identities, and positions very seriously.
