Zelensky: For First Time, Russia Cannot Wage War Without North Korea; Warns of New Threats to Japan, South Korea, Philippines

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Monday that for the very first time in Russia's history, the country can no longer wage war without assistance from North Korea. During his evening address, Zelensky warned that Moscow is now preparing to deploy an additional North Korean military contingent on its soil and has received more ballistic missiles from Pyongyang.

The Ukrainian leader emphasized that the consequences of this alliance extend far beyond Ukraine, impacting countries such as Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines.

Zelensky highlighted that the war against Ukraine is increasingly becoming a training ground for North Korean military personnel. Every missile launched against Ukraine provides Pyongyang with valuable information about the performance of its weapons in real battlefield conditions. Furthermore, the deployment of North Korean soldiers offers their military valuable experience against Ukrainian forces utilizing Western weaponry, drones, electronic warfare, and modern battlefield tactics.

Consequently, this newfound expertise could potentially extend beyond Europe, posing a more formidable threat to Asian nations.

In his statement, Zelensky explicitly mentioned Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines as countries that could face a more capable North Korean military. By speaking about joint action, coordination, and strengthening air defense, Zelensky emphasized that these countries are also actively working to prevent North Korea from using its weapons against them and learning how to wage war on their land and in their skies.
