Former Air Force Secretary says he’ll sue Trump administration to restore his security clearance

Former Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall announced plans to sue the Trump administration to restore his security clearance that was revoked on Friday. The clearance was taken away after the Department claimed Kendall disclosed sensitive information about the Qatari-gifted jet that currently operates as Air Force One. Kendall, a West Point graduate and former President Joe Biden's head of the Air Force, made the announcement on CNN and stated that he will not back down as his mother taught him to stand up to bullies.

Kendall has denied any wrongdoing and confirmed that he has hired prominent national security attorney Mark Zaid. Zaid, who previously faced the same revocation of his clearance under the Trump administration, stated that they will be working together to challenge the administration's decision. The Trump administration's decision to revoke Kendall's clearance comes amid ongoing investigations and scrutiny surrounding the jet, with the Justice Department recently subpoenaing New York Times reporters who had written about security concerns.
