In a recent post on his social media platform, Trump labeled the idea of replacing Infantino as "costly" and praised him for overseeing the most successful World Cup in history.

The European Union's football governing body, UEFA, and two other confederations have reportedly engaged in discussions about managing their own competitions due to the backlash against Infantino. The Asian Football Confederation and CONCACAF have accused Infantino of deception, and while they desire to grant him the opportunity to resign gracefully without seeking re-election, they aim to distance themselves from the crisis.

UEFA has threatened a boycott of FIFA tournaments. Infantino has apologized for his proposal to create FIFA Forward Enterprise, a company to oversee the commercial and operational aspects of FIFA tournaments, and sell around 20% of it to private investors. However, the leaders of UEFA, AFC, and CONCACAF have called for an independent review of Infantino's plan, acknowledging that leadership in football is a duty of service to the football community, not a position to be held or desired above the collective trust that appointed them.
