Osun Guber: Gov Adeleke will be defeated — Imumolen

Chris Imumolen, the factional National Chairman of the Accord, has forecasted that Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke will not win the upcoming gubernatorial election. In a statement released by Israel Jagunmolu, Imumolen suggested that Adeleke's political future might be influenced by the result of the election or an ongoing legal battle regarding the leadership of the Accord.

He advised the people of Osun State not to vote for Adeleke, as he believes the governor is unlikely to win the election. Imumolen emphasized that even if Adeleke were to prevail in the polls, he could still face legal repercussions, citing the ongoing case in the Federal High Court in Abuja involving rival factions of the Accord.

Imumolen highlighted that recent legal developments have bolstered the position of his faction. He stated that proceedings involving the competing factions have progressed to the Federal High Court, and the matter is now being addressed there. Imumolen maintained that the dispute is not merely an internal disagreement but revolves around the legitimate leadership and structure of the Accord and the authority of its recognized framework.

He argued that even if Adeleke wins the election, his political and legal challenges will not be completely resolved. Imumolen's faction remains confident that the judiciary will uphold their position and establish the legitimate leadership structure of the Accord, as political activities ramp up ahead of the gubernatorial election.
