The meeting aimed to reaffirm the opposition's commitment to working together ahead of the 2027 general election. Gachagua, who leads the DCP, reiterated the opposition's "WANTAM" agenda, which seeks to prevent President William Ruto from securing a second term. The leaders present at the meeting reaffirmed their commitment to presenting a single presidential candidate to Kenyan voters.
