Matiang’i allies intensify Jubilee grassroots mobilisation in Borabu ahead of 2027 polls

Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has announced that the Jubilee Party will continue intensifying its grassroots outreach across Kenya in preparation for the 2027 General Election. Speaking to residents in Mokomoni, Borabu Constituency, Matiang’i emphasized the importance of direct engagement with the public and the strengthening of the party's national network.

During a meeting with Jubilee aspirants, Matiang’i stated, "The grassroots conversation continues. Today in Mokomoni, Borabu Constituency, Jubilee Party aspirants continued our engagement with the people, meeting them one on one and building support for our party and our vision for Kenya." The former CS, who has been increasingly involved in Jubilee mobilisation activities, affirmed the party's intention to bring its message to every region of the country as it prepares for the next electoral cycle.

"We will continue taking the Jubilee message to every corner of our country as we strengthen our movement towards 2027," Matiang’i declared. The Borabu constituency event brought together local party aspirants and supporters, who listened as party leaders outlined Jubilee’s vision for governance, economic recovery, and national unity.

Matiang’i's latest comments follow a surge in political activity across opposition parties, as leaders ramp up consultations, grassroots tours, and alliance-building efforts ahead of the 2027 polls. While the United opposition has not yet announced a formal flagbearer, Matiang’i's involvement in Jubilee mobilisation events has sparked speculation about his potential role in the party’s future political strategy.

Matiang’i has firmly stated his commitment to the Jubilee Party, dismissing speculation about joining the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party, saying, "I am not in UDA; I will never join UDA. I am a member of Jubilee. In fact, let me tell you, if I ever leave Jubilee Party, I will quit Jubilee completely while I am also retiring from politics."
