IESCO Announces Power Outages in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Other Areas

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced a series of planned electricity outages on Wednesday across its service regions in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, and Jhelum. The maintenance and routine development work will result in power suspensions starting as early as 5 a.m. and lasting throughout the day in various neighborhoods and districts.

In the Islamabad Circle, customers using Waheed Abad, Khanna Dak, UC-2, Burma, Rehman Enclave, Shareefabad, Sudhran, Waris Valley, Khadhrapur, Khanna East, and Ghauri Garden feeders will experience an outage from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. Additional outages are scheduled for Taramri, Lehtrar Road, and ISI feeders from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., and Gharial feeders from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Rawalpindi City Circle residents in Al-Noor Colony and AFOSH feeders will face a 12-hour outage from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Similarly, Rawalpindi Cantt Circle residents in Jhata Hatyal, Bhal, and Jarrar Camp feeders will experience a 9-hour power cut from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. Additional outages are planned for Jail Park-1, Car Chowk, Mehboob Shaheed, Park View, Pindi Board, and Chowk Pindori feeders from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Attock Circle customers using Hussainabad, Lala Zar, and Industrial State Bathar feeders will be without power from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m., while Katchery, Dar-ul-Islam Colony, Attock Cantt, and Dhoke Fateh feeders will experience a 6-10 a.m. outage. Jhelum Circle residents in Karyala, Metro City, Grand City, Bolani, Jakkar, and F-9 (Chak Daulat) feeders will face a 6-10 a.m. power disruption.

The GSO Circle will see outages on the 132KV T/Line Sangjani-Pirwadhai (PWD-I) from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., as well as on the 132KV GSS Rawat-II power transformer T-1 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., 132KV AWC HMC Taxila and 132KV Sangjani-Burhan from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 132KV Kahuta City-Palandri and 132KV New Wah-Bahtermore from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The suspensions will impact related earth switches and surrounding areas.
