The 2024 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) is 100 days away, and the application process will begin on August 24. The Korea Institute of Curriculum and Evaluation (KICE) announced on August 1 that it will accept applications for the 2024 CSAT from August 24 to 29. Those who wish to take the test can make a preliminary online entry from August 20, 10 a.m. The test will take place on November 16, 2023. Those who need to take the test for the first time or change their test details, such as test takers with disabilities, must visit the test site in person to complete their applications. The KICE plans to provide detailed information on the 2024 CSAT application process through its website.

The Ministry of Education announced on November 11th that the nationwide high school entrance examination (Suneung) will accept application forms from April 24th to May 4th at 85 regional education support centers and leading high schools. They will operate from 9am to 5pm on weekdays, excluding weekends. The system has also introduced online pre-registration, which must be completed before the in-person application process to reduce hassle on the application day.

From April 20th to May 3rd, applicants can input their information online from any time, 24 hours a day, and can pay the application fee using credit cards, virtual accounts, or convenient payment methods. However, pre-registration alone is not enough; applicants must still visit the in-person application site for personal verification.

Applicants can pay the fee using the same payment methods at the in-person application site. Those who find the online system difficult or choose not to use it must visit the in-person application site directly. They must bring their ID, passport-sized photos, and any proof of verification required for the specific exam. The entrance examination forms must be submitted directly by the student, with no exceptions for proxy submission.

However, students who are temporarily hospitalized, on military duty, or in other unavoidable circumstances can have a family member or spouse complete the application on their behalf if recognized by the local education committee. Current high school students preparing to graduate can submit their forms in bulk at their current school.

Graduates must submit their forms at their former school, but if their home address and the school's location belong to different examination regions or even different administrative districts within the same region (city or county level), they must submit their forms at the local education support center for their current address.

Applicants with higher education qualifications, students who received a limited scholarship, or those who are single-parent households or single-parent families can apply for fee waivers by submitting the appropriate proof of eligibility.
