AirBorneo joins FLYsiswa, offers RM400 flight subsidy to eligible students

KUCHING, Aug 11 — AirBorneo Airways has joined the government's FLYsiswa subsidy program, offering Malaysian students a RM400 digital voucher to offset the cost of domestic economy flights. The initiative, spearheaded by the Transport Ministry, aims to reduce travel expenses for students studying away from their homes, particularly those traveling between Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan.

AirBorneo's CEO, Megat Ardian Aminuddin, emphasized that education shouldn't be hindered by financial barriers, ensuring students can return home for breaks, holidays, or emergencies without financial stress. The airline is open to eligible students from various educational institutions, with the voucher redeemable on their website or app until Nov 30, and bookings up to Dec 31. AirBorneo also offers extra baggage allowances and complimentary changes on FLYsiswa bookings.
