49ers WR Mike Evans Returns for Joint Practice With Titans

Veteran wide receiver Mike Evans returned to the field for the San Francisco 49ers' joint practice with the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday. Evans, who recently signed a three-year contract with the 49ers in March, had been sidelined since Monday due to a quad strain. However, his 49ers teammates Christian McCaffrey and Nick Bosa remained absent.

McCaffrey was ruled out for the second consecutive day due to tightness, while Bosa missed his fifth straight practice session because of soreness. At 32 years old, Evans appeared to be in good condition during his return to practice. The wide receiver had appeared in just eight regular-season games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2025, hampered by a significant hamstring injury and a broken collarbone.

These injuries prevented him from maintaining his streak of 1,000-yard receiving seasons, which ended at 11. The 49ers are set to kick off their preseason with a match against the Titans on Thursday night, while their regular season will begin on September 10 against the Los Angeles Rams.
