2027: Kogi Central PDP appoints campaign DG, chairman

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi Central Senatorial District has recently appointed Dr Salami Etudaiye as the Director-General of its 2027 campaign organization and Abubakar Karaku as the Campaign Chairman. This decision was made during a stakeholders' meeting held under the leadership of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who is also the party's media aide.

The inauguration took place on Monday, marking the beginning of the party's preparations for the upcoming 2027 general elections. The newly formed campaign team is tasked with implementing an aggressive grassroots mobilization strategy to secure victory for all PDP candidates in the senatorial district. Key members of the campaign organization include Jacob Anebe as Secretary, Ilyasu Zubair as Head of Operations, Isiaka Uhuanaye as Head of Technicals, and Jane Onoba as Head of Welfare.

At the inauguration, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan emphasized the importance of working tirelessly towards the success of all PDP candidates in Kogi Central and urged the campaign team to engage with voters directly through house-to-house and polling unit-by-polling unit strategies. Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan further stressed that the campaign should be inclusive, welcoming individuals who are willing to contribute to the party's success.

Similarly, Dr Etudaiye, in his acceptance speech, described his appointment as a sacred responsibility, pledging to deploy his experience and organizational capacity to deliver victory for the PDP. He also highlighted the need for unity, discipline, and transparency in leading the campaign. Abubakar Karaku, as the Campaign Chairman, called for unity and peaceful political engagement, emphasizing the importance of concentrating on the larger objective of building a stronger PDP and securing victory for the party's candidates.
