Typhoon 'Dolphin' makes second landfall in China's Zhejiang

Typhoon Dolphin, the 13th typhoon of the year, struck the coast of Zhejiang Province in eastern China for a second time on Sunday evening, according to the National Meteorological Center. The storm made landfall near Yueqing City around 6:40 p.m., with maximum sustained winds reaching Force 13, equal to 38 meters per second. Dolphin's first landfall had occurred earlier in the day at Yuhuan in Taizhou City, also in Zhejiang, with winds at Force 14.

Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, located in Hangzhou City, the capital of Zhejiang Province, cancelled 388 flights that day due to the typhoon. The National Meteorological Center warned local authorities in the impacted regions to brace for intense rainfall. The typhoon's impact extends beyond Zhejiang, as it brought severe conditions to southern China, including a potential landfall in the area of Southern China later.
