Tinubu’s performance deserves re-election, says Presidency

The Presidency has asserted that President Bola Tinubu is deserving of re-election in 2027, citing economic reforms and infrastructure projects implemented across the country. Tunde Rahman, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Special Duties, made the statement during a nationwide inspection of federal and state infrastructure projects in Nasarawa State.

The inspection, led by Tinubu's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, was the second leg of a media tour that previously visited Benue State. Rahman highlighted the completion of various road projects, healthcare interventions, and bridges built by both federal and state governments, attributing these accomplishments to the economic reforms undertaken by the Tinubu administration.

He dismissed opposition claims that the President had achieved nothing, arguing that evidence from the ground contradicts such assertions. Both Nasarawa and Benue governors have credited federal fiscal reforms for their ability to execute large-scale projects, further supporting Tinubu's record. The Presidential aides emphasized that the removal of fuel subsidies freed up resources that have been reinvested into infrastructure projects with tangible benefits for the common man.

They specifically mentioned the Makurdi-Otukpo-Enugu road corridor, the Total Roundabout flyover and circular intersection in Keffi, and the Mararaba continuous flyover in Nasarawa State as examples of the lasting legacies of the Tinubu administration.
