Rauf diberi kuasa penuh runding kerjasama PRN Melaka, kata Zahid

Ab Rauf Yusoh, the Chief Minister of Melaka, has been granted full authority to conduct cooperation talks with any coalition of parties ahead of the upcoming PRN Melaka, according to Zahid Hamidi. The decision made during the discussion will be communicated to the highest leadership of Umno before being presented to the National Level Council of Barisan Nasional for final endorsement.

During a media briefing after completing the inauguration of the NSPSDHOA 2026-2035 strategic planning meeting in Kampung Air Banun, Zahid, who is also the President of Umno, expressed hope that the talks would not occur in a complicated situation. "Discussing the distribution of seats, which is usually complicated, is not an insurmountable problem if we discuss it thoroughly and calmly," he said during the press conference.

Meanwhile, Pakatan Harapan's Communications Chief Fahmi Fadzil stated that PH welcomed the openness of BN in allocating seats in preparation for the upcoming PRN Melaka, and considered it a worthy opportunity to examine. Additionally, National Unity Leader Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar of PN said that PN is open and ready to engage in talks with BN regarding the PRN Melaka, provided that it is done honestly, sincerely, and without compromising the number of seats for each party.
