Raiders Fourth-Round Draft Pick Has Lofty Goals for Rookie Season

The Las Vegas Raiders bolstered their secondary with cornerback Jermod McCoy, who was chosen in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, the 101st overall selection. Despite missing the entirety of his 2025 season due to an ACL injury while playing for the Tennessee Volunteers, McCoy is now back at the Raiders' training camp, feeling good and meeting the team's workload expectations, according to team insider Sam Warren from The Athletic.

McCoy has ambitious goals for his rookie season, aiming to become an All-Rookie, potentially even an All-Pro, and targeting three or four interceptions during his first year in the league. At training camp practice, McCoy expressed his desire, saying, "I want to get like three or four picks. I love getting that ball back." Furthermore, he considers himself the best cornerback among the 2026 draft class.

The Raiders kick off their preseason campaign with a game against the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday, with their regular season commencing on Week 1, September 13, against the Miami Dolphins.
