Murder, mystery and a call for Costa del Sol actors as Salón Varietés prepares to reopen

The Salón Varietés Theatre in Fuengirola is set to reopen its doors after a summer break, and local performers now have the opportunity to join a new production. Auditions for Agatha Christie's murder mystery play, The Hollow, are being held on Sunday, September 6, from 12pm to 3pm at the theatre. The play, which will run from November 4 to 8, 2026, will feature a cast of 12 characters, including an eccentric group of relatives and friends at a country estate.

Anyone with an interest in acting is encouraged to audition, regardless of experience level. Actors and directors will be volunteering their time for the production, showcasing the community-based nature of Salón Varietés. The theatre has a long history on the Costa del Sol, celebrating its 40th birthday in 2026 and attracting an international audience with its English-language productions.
