Mumbai Crime: Fitness Trainer Allegedly Assaulted In Bandra Road-Rage Incident; Car Windows Smashed

Renowned fitness trainer Arjunjit Garewal, 39, was allegedly assaulted in a road-rage incident near Bandra Lake in Mumbai on Sunday evening. The attack occurred after an XUV vehicle blocked Garewal's car, leading to a confrontation with three unidentified individuals. One of the accused allegedly tried to hit Garewal with a baseball bat while another damaged his car windows using a hockey stick.

Garewal, a well-known fitness trainer in the industry, was traveling with his wife Bhakti on Saturday night. The incident began when the XUV driver became angry, drove parallel to Garewal's vehicle, and made threatening gestures. The XUV driver then allegedly overtook Garewal's car multiple times before blocking it near Bandra Lake.

One of the occupants, wearing a white shirt, reportedly got out of the vehicle and abused Garewal, asking him to step out. Garewal complied, and the accused then assaulted him with fists and kicks. Two associates arrived on two-wheelers and joined the assault. Garewal managed to escape, and his wife followed, causing the accused to flee in the XUV.

The case was registered against the three accused under Sections 115(2) and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and other relevant provisions.
