Kantanka Family grateful for Support During Apostle Safo’s Funeral

The family of the late Apostle Emeritus Professor Ing. Kwadwo Safo, along with the Kristo Asafo Mission leadership, has extended their deepest gratitude to the Ghanaian people for their overwhelming support and encouragement during the funeral and final passage of the renowned industrialist and religious figure. This appreciation was conveyed by the Apostle’s daughter, Sarah Adwoa Safo, at a thanksgiving service held at Kumasi’s Prempeh Assembly Hall to mark the conclusion of the funeral rites.

In her address to a large congregation made up of Kristo Asafo Mission members, friends, and admirers of the late Apostle, Adwoa Safo highlighted the profound support Ghanaians provided throughout the funeral period. She emphasized that the strong solidarity displayed by individuals, institutions, traditional authorities, religious organizations, and the general public had significantly comforted the bereaved family and ensured the late Apostle received a fitting final transition.

The thanksgiving service, which drew prominent figures including former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, was marked by tributes to the late Apostle. Dr. Bawumia, a close friend of the Safo family, described Apostle Safo as a father figure who consistently provided counsel, encouragement, and guidance. He remembered the late Apostle’s conviction in Africa's potential to solve its own problems, create opportunities, and face challenges with confidence, innovation, and determination.

Dr. Bawumia noted that the Apostle’s contributions went beyond his religious work, including his dedication to technology, industry, and national development. Other dignitaries, Kristo Asafo Mission members, and sympathizers also attended to honor the late Apostle’s memory. A notable highlight of the thanksgiving service was the appearance of a rainbow in the sky, which moved many worshippers to fervent prayers, with some interpreting it as a symbolic and comforting moment, reflecting the joy and peace with which the late Apostle’s earthly journey concluded.

The service united the Kristo Asafo community, family, friends, and sympathizers in celebrating the life and legacy of Apostle Emeritus Professor Ing. Kwadwo Safo, who was remembered for his contributions to religion, technology, industry, and national development.
