Ihsan tak kenal bangsa dan agama, dunia Din kembali terang

Mohd Din Deli, a 65-year-old man from Negeri Sembilan, had been living in darkness for four years due to a severe case of katarak that had robbed him of his sight. This made it impossible for him to work as a safety guard and forced him to rely on the kindness of others for survival. He lived in a cheap hotel near Puduraya, earning just RM30 daily, and would beg for food and money from passersby.

His life took a turn when Jeyenderan Ramasamy, a businessman, noticed him near Sri Ganesar Court Hill Temple. Jeyenderan, who also happens to own a shipping company, started helping Mohd Din by occasionally crossing the road, giving him small amounts of money, and helping him pay his rent. Despite the small gestures, they meant a lot to the businessman.

After being told that the surgery to remove his katarak would cost around RM1,800, a sum beyond his means, Din prayed for a miracle. His prayers were answered when Jeyenderan arranged for a medical check-up. On August 4th, Din regained his sight and could finally see the world he had been missing for four years. Doctors at Manjit Singh Ophthalmology Centre confirmed that Din's vision had deteriorated severely, but the surgery could restore it.

Now, Din is grateful for Jeyenderan's kindness and plans to work for him as a security guard. For the first time in years, Din will witness fireworks on Independence Day and feel the true meaning of 'merdeka' – freedom from a dark world and the ability to depend on oneself.
