Arul Kumar pengerusi DAP N Sembilan

Nilai MP J Arul Kumar has retained his seat in the PRN Negeri Sembilan five-corner contest held on 1st August. DAP National Head Office Deputy Secretary Loke Siew Fook announced that Arul has been appointed as the new DAP Negeri Sembilan leader following his 22-year tenure. The selection of Arul was overwhelmingly approved by the DAP Negeri Sembilan Secretary's Bureau after he relinquished his position on August 3rd, following the party's defeat in the 2023 GE where they won the GE Chennah and Repah seats.

Arul's leadership is lauded for his qualifications and ability to lead, according to Bernama after a meeting of the DAP Negeri Sembilan Secretary's Bureau in Seremban. The reporter expresses confidence and trust in the newly formed DAP Negeri Sembilan bureau, as their team is experienced, long-standing and united, and most importantly, they will continue to work hard in every represented area.

Loke failed to retain his Chennah seat for a fourth term on August 1st, losing to BN candidate Siow Kong Choon with a majority of 688 votes. Arul retained the seat on August 1st by securing 15,797 votes in a five-corner contest against BN candidate Lai Chien Kong (9,860), V K Saravana from Bersatu (718), Zamani Ibrahim from Berjasa (5,844) and independent candidate Omar Isa (167).
