Yemen's Houthi rebels claimed they carried out an attack on an oil facility in southwestern Saudi Arabia on Sunday, utilizing a drone. This comes after Saudi drones breached Yemeni airspace over the provinces of Hajjah and Saada, according to a military spokesperson for the Houthis. The Saudi Energy Ministry reported a fire at the Aramco refinery facility, which was quickly extinguished with no reported casualties.

However, the cause of the fire remains unexplained. The attack is part of a series of missile and drone assaults on Saudi Arabia and its shipping in the Red Sea, potentially reigniting the four-year-old Yemeni civil war. Meanwhile, Iran has made new demands regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, stating it will not open until the United States "corrects its behavior." These demands could disrupt ongoing talks about managing the waterway.
