'Wishing them a speedy recovery': Anwar visits Ismail Sabri and Fadillah at IJN

On August 9, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim paid a visit to Deputy Prime Minister Fadillah Yusof and former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob, both of whom are presently under treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN). Anwar conveyed his wishes for their prompt recovery through a Facebook post, alongside his wife and counterpart, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

He expressed his prayers for both individuals to receive a quick recovery, for their treatment to progress smoothly, and for them to remain healthy and strong to continue serving their nation, as they hope insha-Allah.

Fadillah had been scheduled to undergo heart bypass surgery at IJN on August 3, following advice from medical professionals. His condition was later reported as stable. On the other hand, Ismail Sabri was admitted to IJN on August 6 after experiencing health problems while being recorded for a statement at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters.

The following day, he successfully underwent a leadless pacemaker implantation procedure to address an abnormal heart rhythm and has been under close monitoring at the institute since.
