‘Vote for me, I’ll open khazana again’: Punjab CM Mann’s political message from Dera Ballan

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann recently laid the foundation stone for a new Guru Ravidas Bani Adhyan Kendra in Dera Sachkhand Ballan. The center, spanning 10 acres, will house a three-story administrative building, teaching facilities, separate hostels for boys and girls, and staff residences. Students will focus on Guru Ravidas's philosophy and can pursue degrees at the institution.

Mann emphasized the importance of preserving Guru Ravidas Ji's teachings of humanity and equality for future generations. The foundation stone-laying ceremony precedes the 650th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas Ji in 2027, which will be celebrated with various events, including documentaries on Guru Ravidas's philosophy and LED screen displays of his bani in villages.

The Punjab government allocated a Rs 100-crore budget for the 650th anniversary celebrations, including the creation of educational programs and preparation of documentaries. Mann criticized the Opposition for their criticism of his government's welfare policies, such as free electricity and healthcare, and stated that the funds for these initiatives were meant to support ordinary people and ensure access to basic facilities for poorer families.
