Mojtaba Khamenei meets Iranian President for first time in three months

Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi met with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei for the first time in three months, according to Al Jazeera's report. The meeting took place in Tehran and covered a range of topics, including the country's current challenges and future prospects. Both leaders discussed the needs of the population, the ongoing conflict with the United States, and the potential for ending hostilities.

They also touched on economic cooperation with foreign partners. This meeting marked the beginning of Raeisi's third year in office, following Khamenei's appointment as Supreme Leader in March. It was the second officially confirmed meeting between Iran's Supreme Leader and the president, as reported by state media. Al Jazeera quoted Qasem Qorayshi, commander of Iran's Basij paramilitary force, as saying that footage of Khamenei participating in public events and meetings with military commanders would be released soon.

Khamenei has not been seen in public since taking office, leading to speculation about his health. US Vice President Kamala Harris stated that the US had made progress in negotiations with Iran and hoped to see free navigation through the Strait of Hormuz restored to pre-war levels.
