HH the Amir leads farewell ceremony for Sultan Haitham

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and his brother the Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of the Sultanate of Oman met at Amiri Diwan this morning. HH the Amir warmly welcomed the Sultan and his delegation, expressing hopes for continued health, well-being, and the strengthening of fraternal relations between the two countries.

HH the Amir acknowledged the long-standing historical ties between Qatar and Oman, reaffirming Qatar's dedication to enhancing cooperation and partnership in a manner that aligns with the aspirations of both nations and serves their shared interests. Sultan Haitham bin Tariq reciprocated with gratitude for the Amir's warm reception and hospitality, and conveyed his pleasure at the meeting, emphasizing Oman's commitment to deepening cooperation in various fields.

The discussion centered on the strong fraternal relations between the two countries, exploring avenues for further development at multiple levels, and exchanging views on matters of mutual interest. Notable attendees included key officials from both states, such as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, the Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force, the Chief of the Amiri Diwan, and the Ministers of State for Energy Affairs, Commerce and Industry, Transport, and Foreign Affairs.

On the Omani side, the delegation comprised the Minister of State and Governor of Muscat, the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, the Minister of the Royal Office General, the Minister of Interior, the Minister of Energy and Minerals, and several members of the official delegation. Following the meeting, HH the Amir hosted a luncheon banquet in honor of his brother and his delegation, which was attended by representatives from both nations, including sheikhs, ministers, and senior officials.
