Amir, Sultan of Oman discuss bilateral relations

Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman met at the Amiri Diwan this morning. HH the Amir warmly welcomed HM the Sultan and his delegation, expressing hope for continued health, well-being, and the deepening of fraternal relations between Qatar and Oman.

HH the Amir commended the historical ties between the two nations, reaffirming Qatar's dedication to enhancing cooperation and partnership that aligns with the aspirations of their peoples and serves their shared interests.

HM Sultan Haitham reciprocated the admiration for HH the Amir's gracious reception and hospitality, underscoring Oman's commitment to furthering cooperation and coordination to consolidate their longstanding fraternal bonds and explore new avenues of collaboration across diverse sectors.

The dialogue encompassed the strong bonds between the states and strategies to fortify and expand these relations at multiple levels, with discussions on subjects of mutual concern.

Participants included key officials from both countries, such as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs HE Sheikh Saoud, Minister of Interior and Commander of Lekhwiya HE Sheikh Khalifa, Chief of Amiri Diwan HE Abdullah, and several other distinguished sheikhs and ministers.

Following the meeting, an official luncheon was held in honor of HM Sultan and his delegation, attended by numerous sheikhs, ministers, and senior officials from both nations, highlighting the significance of the bilateral discussions.
