Apple might finally bring the ceramic Apple Watch back, and I’ve been waiting for it

Apple may soon reintroduce the ceramic Apple Watch, a product that was discontinued in 2020, according to a report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The ceramic Apple Watch was known for its smooth, scratch-resistant, and non-metallic appearance, setting it apart from other materials like titanium and aluminum. The return of the ceramic version could come with the Series 12 in September or in 2027, alongside new colors, band options, and health and fitness-related upgrades.

Ceramic is harder and retains its polish longer than stainless steel, making it a premium material upgrade. While the ceramic Apple Watch could be expensive, it could serve as a powerful marketing tool for the lineup without altering its existing features. Beyond the ceramic case, the Series 12 and Ultra 4 are getting performance upgrades, suggesting Apple aims to launch a comprehensive Watch lineup this year.

Furthermore, Apple is contemplating a major overhaul of its smartwatch lineup, including potential changes in screen size, display type, and even the removal of displays altogether, hinting at a round display for future smartwatches.
