Alberta RCMP investigating after human remains belonging to 12-year-old found

Alberta RCMP have uncovered human remains linked to a 12-year-old boy from Edmonton, according to local authorities. The discovery was made by police in northern Alberta. The youth, identified as Fiasal Hussein, was found dead early Thursday. The police have determined the cause of death to be homicide. The remains were identified by a chief medical examiner on Thursday.

The RCMP in Athabasca have confirmed the findings. Police are requesting any witnesses who may have recorded the incident on dash cams near Calling Lake or surrounding areas to reach out to investigators.
