A teenager who killed his mother during a verbal argument was taken into custody on the 29th on suspicion of murder. The Busan Western Police Department said that it arrested A, a 16-year-old high school student, on charges of murdering his 50-year-old mother at their home in Busan's Mandeok on the 28th. According to the police, A got into a verbal argument with his mother over a trivial matter and ended up killing her with a kitchen knife. The police determined that there was a risk of A fleeing the scene, and applied for and received an arrest warrant from the prosecutor. A was taken to a juvenile detention center after being arrested. The police are investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the murder.
