A teenage girl was arrested on the spot after pouring boiling water on her mother during an argument over her running away from home. On the 7th, police reported that a mother in her 40s suffered burns on her arms and chest after being splashed with boiling water by her 19-year-old daughter at their home in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 6th. The daughter was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder. According to the police, the mother and daughter got into an argument over the daughter's decision to run away from home. The daughter then suddenly poured boiling water from a pot onto her mother. The mother tried to block the water with her arms, but her arms and chest were burned. The daughter was taken into custody after the police arrived at the scene. The police are investigating the details of the incident.
