Will Power praises Andretti team chemistry as 2027 lineup locks in

Will Power has commended the camaraderie between him and Andretti Global teammates Kyle Kirkwood and Marcus Ericsson during his inaugural 2026 season with the organization. Following Ericsson’s contract renewal for 2027, announced earlier this week, the two-time IndyCar Series champion expressed satisfaction for the future. Kirkwood, currently third in the championship, had also signed a multi-year extension before the season.

Power emphasized the significance of team chemistry, expressing his happiness over Ericsson’s renewal and the enjoyable atmosphere. Despite the results not always matching their speed, Power remains optimistic about the team's prospects in 2027, citing substantial improvements in various areas such as pit stops, car builds, and performance on different track types.

Power's perspective, gained from 17 seasons with Team Penske, adds valuable depth to the Andretti team. As Portland International Raceway approaches, the team's progress on road courses will be closely monitored, with early indications of improvement already evident.
