Suspect returned to Canada and charged in connection with 2025 death of Toronto woman

A Canadian man, aged 32, has been charged with first-degree murder following the death of a 30-year-old woman in downtown Toronto's residence in late 2025. The victim, Himanshi Khurana, was reported missing on December 19 and her body was discovered the next day at a property located near Strachan Avenue and Wellington Street West.

The death was subsequently determined to be a homicide. A nationwide warrant was issued for the alleged perpetrator, Abdul Ghafoori, who was subsequently returned to Canada. The victim and suspect were known to each other. Toronto police collaborated with both national and international law enforcement agencies to ensure Ghafoori's return.
