Peller, Jarvis set for white wedding today, livestream for fans

TikTok personalities Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, and Elizabeth Amadu, also recognized as Jarvis, are set to exchange vows today. The intimate white wedding will be broadcast live on Twitch and YouTube for those unable to attend in person. Initially, the couple had planned a larger event, but Peller's dissatisfaction with the earlier ceremony led them to scale it down significantly.

At the August 1 traditional wedding, Peller expressed his annoyance at certain attendees who only showed up to take photos and record the event without genuinely celebrating the couple. He further clarified that bloggers would not be allowed at the upcoming ceremony, aiming for a more private setting primarily attended by close family, friends, and select industry colleagues.

Despite the challenges faced at the traditional wedding, Peller affirmed that it was indeed a success. For fans restricted by the reduced guest list, he assured that the livestream would act as a viable alternative, allowing supporters to follow the ceremony virtually. The couple's journey towards the altar commenced in June when Peller proposed to Jarvis in Ghana, followed by their move to Benin City, Edo State, where he fulfilled Jarvis' bride price and completed traditional rituals with her family.

Upon their return to Lagos, the pair legally sealed their union with a court wedding on July 29, three days prior to their traditional wedding in Lekki, Lagos. This traditional event drew a notable attendance of celebrities, musicians, and social media influencers, making it one of the most talked-about weddings of the year. The festivities included a wave of viral side moments, such as socialite Prettymike's humorous entrance and a video capturing a tout being knocked down by a car outside the venue.

Although the traditional ceremony had its controversies, with some Nigerians criticizing the couple over their age and readiness for marriage, Peller and Jarvis dismissed these claims. The decision to opt for a smaller, invitation-only white wedding was taken in light of the past events, marking the end of their #JP2026 celebrations.
