Letak jawatan strategi Razali jadi Adun ‘mesra PAS’, kata penganalisis

Analysts observe Razali Idris' decision to relinquish his Bersatu Terengganu presidency role as a strategic move towards becoming a PAS-friendly Adun, in order to maintain his exco position. Mazlan Ali, from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, suggests that this step is a tactical move to safeguard his seat as a PAS-friendly representative while staying in the Terengganu government.

He clarifies that Razali is no longer committed to Bersatu and is expected to make a new choice after the current term ends, possibly joining the forces of Hamzah Zainudin from the Wawasan Party. The phenomenon is reminiscent of what transpired in Perlis, indicating that Bersatu might no longer be associated with Perikatan Nasional (PN), either leaving or being expelled from that alliance.

On July 16, Razali, who is also an Adun of Kijal, announced his decision to vacate his Bersatu Terengganu presidency position, which was also joined by two other state leaders. The Bersatu Terengganu executive committee sent a resignation letter to Bersatu President Muhyiddin Yassin on the same day, but did not specify the reason for Razali's resignation since he had been in the role for ten years.

Similar to Telemong, Zawawi Ismail and Hulu Besut Adun, Husaimi Hussin also announced their resignation from their respective Bersatu positions. Prior to this, the Terengganu government was reportedly maintaining Razali's exco status despite PAS formally terminating their relationship with Bersatu. Ahmad Zaharuddin Sani Ahmad Sabri from Global Asia Consulting argues that Razali's decision to keep his party membership demonstrates the hegemony of PAS in Terengganu.

He notes that Razali's move to relinquish his party affiliation is perceived as a 'political survival ticket', suggesting a transition from a struggle to a covert maneuver. "If this condition is not written down to remain in the state government, then politics has changed from a battlefield to a surveillance field. "PAS often raises slogans of integrity, steadfastness and principled politics.

However, the public has the right to question, if the relationship with Bersatu is officially terminated, why does a Bersatu leader still maintain an exco seat?"
