Ipswich sign midfielder Lukic from Fulham

Ipswich Town has secured the services of Serbia midfielder Sasa Lukic from Fulham, according to recent wire reports. The 29-year-old, who made 26 appearances in the Premier League last season, has committed his future to the club with a contract until 2030. Lukic expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Ipswich squad, stating, "I can't wait to play here as a home player."

This signing follows another recent transfer of a player from Fulham, Morocco defender Issa Diop, who has also joined Ipswich Town this summer. Sasa Lukic's journey with Fulham began in January 2023 when he moved from Torino. Throughout his tenure, he amassed a total of 106 appearances for the Cottagers.

Lukic, who has represented Serbia 62 times and participated in both the 2022 World Cup and the 2024 European Championship, shared his admiration for the Portman Road atmosphere, describing it as one of the best he has experienced. Manager Gary O'Neill praised Lukic's experience and consistency, emphasizing his value to the team as they prepare for the upcoming season.
