Algeria's Bennacer leaves AC Milan after seven years

AC Milan have terminated the contract of midfielder Ismael Bennacer, marking the conclusion of his seven-year tenure at the San Siro. The 28-year-old, who joined the Italian club from Empoli in 2019, played a pivotal role in Milan's 2021-22 Scudetto victory, accumulating 137 Serie A appearances during his time with the team. However, Bennacer has faced recurring knee injuries, leading to loan spells at Olympique de Marseille and Dinamo Zagreb.

AC Milan announced on Friday that Bennacer's contract was mutually terminated, with the club expressing well wishes for his future endeavors.
