Wong Chen cadang letak jawatan sebagai Ahli Parlimen, kata speaker

Johari Abdul, the Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat, met with Wong Chen, a PKR lawmaker from Subang Jaya, early Wednesday morning. During their conversation, Wong expressed his desire to resign from his parliamentary position, according to Johari, who cited Berita Harian as the source. The Speaker did not disclose whether Chen had submitted any formal documents regarding the resignation.

On Wednesday, Wong also shared on Facebook that he met Johari for about half an hour, during which he handed over a sealed letter to the latter. Wong did not elaborate on the contents of the letter, but instead posted a picture of the letter using the official letterhead of Subang's parliamentary office, which was addressed to Johari.

Wong said he will issue a media statement regarding the matter on Monday evening. Wong is one of three PKR MPs who were barred from accessing MyKHAS, the portal managing special funds for parliamentary constituencies. Subang Jaya MP Rodziah Ismail was the newest to be blocked on Wednesday, while Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung was suspended last week for questioning why he was barred.

All three MPs attended the Bersatu party launch on May, which was taken over by former PKR leaders Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.
