Breaking news on the entry of immigrants to Ceuta, live | The Government requests the appearance of Marlaska, Albares, Robles and Bolaños in Congress due to the crisis in Ceuta

The Government will register this Friday in Congress the requests to appear at their own request and in an extraordinary period of the ministers Fernando Grande-Marlaska, José Manuel Albares, Margarita Robles, and Félix Bolaños to explain the migratory crisis in Ceuta, through which more than 72,000 illegal migrants entered from Morocco.

Sources from the Ministry of the Presidency, Justice, and Relations with the Cortes have informed that the ministers will appear at the end of August. The head of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, will preside over a telematic coordination meeting this Friday with several ministers on the situation in Ceuta. Sánchez has convened this meeting, in which he will participate from the La Mareta residence in Lanzarote, to address the evolution of the situation in the autonomous city a week after his visit to it following the massive entry of people from Morocco.

The meeting will be attended by the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles; Interior Minister, Fernando Grande Marlaska; the Government spokesperson and Minister responsible for Inclusion, Social Security, and Migrations, Elma Saiz; and the Minister for Youth and Childhood, Sira Rego.

In addition, the Minister for Youth and Childhood, Sira Rego, will travel this Friday to the autonomous city of Ceuta to continue working on the reception of unaccompanied migrant children and adolescents who remain in the city after the massive entry last Thursday. Rego will hold meetings with the President of Ceuta, Juan Jesús Vivas, with the Government Delegate in the City, Miguel Ángel Pérez, and other authorities, and will have meetings with child protection organizations.
