Außenhandel: Chinas Exporte nach Deutschland steigen weiter kräftig

China's trade deficit with Germany continues to widen, with Chinese exports to the country increasing by 17.4% in July to $12.3 billion (around $10.7 billion euros). In contrast, Chinese imports from Germany fell by 2.7% to $7.9 billion. Over a longer period, Chinese exports to Germany rose by 18.8% in the first seven months, reaching $79.7 billion, while imports from Germany only increased by 1.1% to $53 billion.

This resulted in a Chinese trade surplus with Germany of nearly $27 billion in the first half of the year. Germany has long been concerned about growing Chinese competition, particularly in key sectors like automotive and machinery. Many German manufacturers are losing market share to Chinese firms and facing increased competition from Chinese products in global markets.

Imports from other regions, however, are growing rapidly. In July, Chinese imports rose by 27.5%, while exports increased by 23.9%. Imports from ASEAN countries grew by 36%, from Russia by 26.8%, from Africa by 25%, and from the USA by 15.3%. Meanwhile, China's exports to ASEAN countries increased by 38.4% and to Africa by 18.2%.
