VeryDarkMan sets conditions for honouring police invitation over AIG allegations

Social media influencer Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, has specified conditions for agreeing to an invitation from the police regarding allegations he made against AIG Moshood Jimoh, who oversees Zone 2 Command. In a statement released by his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, on Instagram, VeryDarkMan expressed his willingness to testify before the investigators but insisted that the process must be transparent to maintain public trust.

This comes after the Nigeria Police Force invited VeryDarkMan to the Force Criminal Investigation Department, Abuja, to present evidence supporting his allegations against the AIG. The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, affirmed the police's commitment to the due process, institutional discipline, and the rule of law amid the ongoing controversy.

The police stated that the criminal matter in question has already been investigated and is currently under judicial review. They emphasized that the case would be handled by the judiciary and would not be influenced by media campaigns or public commentary. The police also confirmed that AIG Jimoh was invited for questioning, while VeryDarkMan received a formal invitation on July 30, 2026, to support his claims.
